Beware of price gouging! We called to get an estimate to replace a 75 gallon hot water heater. They responded quickly, a nice man came to access and later that day we got an estimate of $4300. We asked for a cost break down and they refused. We asked for the cost of a smaller replacement and they would not give us one citing "permits" and "building codes".

Come to find out, no permit is required and building codes don't apply since our house is established. We used another service, got a 50 gallon replacement installed for significantly less than half of their estimate.

Technician was responsive, on time, and respectful of our our space. Was also very clean, had on foot covers inside our home and cleaned up after the job was complete.

Kris came, identified our blockage problem and fixed it perfectly. Benicia Plumbing and it's Technicians know their business and always take care of things so well. I have used them for many years.

Called for an emergency inspection / repair after smelling gas from my fixer-upper's fireplace stubbed-out gas line. Brandon was sent out within an hour and promptly identified the leak and re-capped it for safety. I'm really impressed with the fast and friendly service!

.I call and ask to have somebody come and help me with maybe replacing my sump pump which stopped working.in addition to that I asked to have a small size person to be able to go under the house to check out our sump pump and they called back with a small person to arrive on a certain date. Adam arrived and he was not small.and was not told he would have to go under the house.

He made it very clear that he was only there to assess the problem for $190 and then schedule an appointment to come back. So when he decided to go under the house to check out the sump pump I was impressed. At exactly at a hour he said I think we need to test the pump but in order to do that I will have to go on the clock for another $190! Since he was there and I thought lets get this done.he did find that a rat ate the wire on the old sump pump and he would order a new sump pump and schedule an appointment to come back.

I wrote the check.and expected Adam and a new sump pump to be installed in the near future. Not only was there not a return appointment. They ignored my phone calls and emails. I could have absolutely understood Adam not wanting to go back into the crawl space but to just ignore my phone calls after they made $400!? Give me a break! DO NOT use this company.

Our home needed a water manifold replaced. The company who made them sold to another company. The water manifold replacement was not available for 3-4 months. Kristopher from Benicia Plumbing in consultation with his boss created a manifold made from brass and then Kris was able to create the needed piece and he connected the 18 hot and cold water hoses.

I am impressed with his creativity and work style. They saved us from waiting for a replacement piece. Thank you Kris and Benicia Plumbing. The office staff needs to be recognized for their help and positive attitude.

I had a very simple job to place a regulator on my sprinkler system to lower the pressure to 50 lbs, but I was talked in to also replacing the regulator on the house supply side which was functioning but was admittedly old. The entire job was going to cost just over $1000. During the repair the tech cracked the PVC pipe that goes under the cement patio and feeds the sprinkler lines.

At the time, the tech told me the pipe had cracked while he was removing the metal adapter due to the expansion that occurs during heating, and this was common and was the reason a threaded adapter should be used, at which point I asked if he knew this was a common problem and why he didn't discuss this prior to starting the job knowing the potential damage that it would cause due to the pipe running under my cement patio.

He agreed and was apologetic. On speaking with a manager who was not on the job, he told me the error was not the techs, but was a result of brittle pipes, something the tech never mentioned or suggested. So, here's where I am at: 1. Have my new patio cut to give access to the sprinkler pipe for repair; or, 2. Have a new sprinkler system run from another location on the property.

The first option would be cheaper but damages my new patio, and the second option would be preferred but is very expensive. Now let's get to why I gave 2 stars and not lower: 1. The tech acknowledged that he should have discussed what he said he knew was a potential complication before starting the job 2. The initial customer service was very good 3.

The original quoted price would have been good if the work had been completed without the complications Now let's get to why I didn't give more than 2 stars: 1. No matter how polite the tech was it does not take away from the fact that he didn't inform me of a known risk associated with the job that will now cost me 1000s of dollars to address (-1) 2.

I didn't like the fact that the manager presented a different cause for the problem than what the tech had reported which I saw as trying to deflect responsibility (-1) 3. Companies should be insured, and the manager should have offered to make the necessary repairs to complete the job at the previously agreed price (-1) By the way, there was an offer to chip in to the cement and make the repair, but when I asked about damaging the new patio, such as a crack forming, it was made clear that they would not be responsible for any such damage. So, I have paid over $500 to have a house system that wasn't broken, fixed, and the original problem of a high pressure sprinkler system has been made worse because I now have a sprinkler system with no water supply. I have no doubt that for more straightforward plumbing jobs these guys would do good work at reasonable prices.

Not very friendly field staff, they make it seem as if they really don't want to do the work, just explain to you how big of a job it is an DC try to convince you otherwise.

I live in an HOA with 34 units, and we had a leaking gas pipe that we asked Benicia plumbing to resolve. We ended up not having hot water for a month, which was especially difficult as a family with a baby. The situation is always complex with a management company and it's hard to pinpoint responsibility, but my complaints with Benicia plumbing are as follows: 1) we agreed to pay over $18,000 for a new gas pipe thinking the situation could be solved more quickly if we didn't haggle or compare, but it took a week before actual work could start, and the company did not provide any breakdown of the costs (materials, labor etc).

When we asked, they said they don't do breakdowns. We found out after that the cost did not include putting back the concrete they cut, so now we have a gaping hole in the middle of our walkway. 2) the pumps broke during their work and they charged another $1500 or so to fix the pumps. But it took over a week for the work to start. Maybe it took their supplier a long time to deliver the pump?

And maybe the pump broke by coincidence? But also possible the pump broke as a result of their work and they did not take responsibility or explain why it wasn't the result of their work. If I had known it would take over a week to fix the pumps anyway, I would have compared costs with another contractor. Again, we thought less arguing would mean quicker fixes which wasn't the case. 3) their contract explicitly stated that they would handle permitting, but they scheduled with the city inspector and did not let our management company know when the appointment was, so the management company was unable to come out on time with the permits to sign. This is a clear failure to fulfill their part of the contract. I would never recommend Benicia plumbing to anyone, especially for the price.

Chris was fast and professional. Doug was able to send him over to address a stopage and i really felt taken care of. They were sent out same day, and resolved the issue in less than an hour. 5/5 would use again and recommended to others. Thank you Benicia Plumbing.

Very disappointed I called them for a simple fix. Just needed a wax ring put on the toilet. I was told I have to replace the toilet because it's older than 10 years even though there's nothing wrong with it. They said we don't do anything on equipment that's older than 10 years no matter what. Called another plumber and they fixed it in 20 minutes without issue. Just f.y.i.

This is not a review based on plumbing services, I can honestly say I have never hired this company and so I cannot vouch for their service -- but I still feel like this is worth mentioning. If you do not tolerate drunk driving, please maybe consider hiring another company. On my way home, I was behind a marked vehicle displaying this company and the driver was clearly intoxicated.

The highway we were on is a curvy, mountainous road with steep drops. It is an unsafe highway with regular accidents and even frequent deaths. This is not something to take lightly, and it was very upsetting watching this company vehicle driving into the other lane, only barely missing incoming traffic. If that vehicle had ran into one of the common motorcycle or boat that utilize this highway in route to the lakes, this would have been a very dangerous and upsetting collision to watch.

All of us trailing behind this drunk driver would have been possibly compromised. I do not know who was responsible for this dangerous behavior, but something needs to be said or else people like this will continue to endanger others as they attempt to make their way back home

First time looking for a plumbing service and I thought I would give this place a try. While I appreciated that they had a same day appointment and were able to fix the issue, I had to give a 3 because it is very difficult to justify paying the $385 to fix the clogged toilet considering the toilet was scratched after. I actually would have given this place a 2 but the guy who came by was at least nice and was able to fix the issue without any additional charges.

I should have known when I initially called the lady was super hesitant to provide even a price range estimate. Sorry benicia plumbing but as I much as I want to support local businesses, I'll have to go somewhere else.

Called Benicia Plumbing this morning for a clogged bathroom sink. We have used them before and have been happy. But today I was told because I live in Concord it was outside Solano county the fee to come out is $185 plus the cost of repairs. That's absolutely ridiculous. They have now lost a long time customer.

Jesse from Benicia Plumbing just completed a plumbing repair for our rental apt in Benicia. Super competent amd friendly. Organized and tidy. Pricing was very fair. I would definitely call Benicia Plumbing again in the future.

The tech showed up on time, he was very thorough, and explained everything he needed to do. I really appreciated that. I received a quote from another company days prior that was 3 times the amount Benicia Plumbing quoted, for the exact job. The tech even looked at a leak for something other than what he was there to fix and showed me how to fix as it was a simple fix.

Generally I feel companies try to take advantage of a woman when they see she is alone but I definitely didn't feel that way with these folks. I will always call Benicia Plumbing first if I have any other plumbing issues.

I needed some fittings installed for a gas dryer and for a gas BBQ. The technician was polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Both fittings were installed in no time. They showed up at the appointment time, as promised. I will 100% use them in the future when I have any plumbing issues. This happened during Covid, the tech wore a mask and was very careful. I'm very happy to support this local business.

I needed a kitchen faucet replaced. We needed it done ASAP due to the bad leak and lack of water pressure. I was able to get an apt within just a couple of days. Adam did a great job and everything is fixed. I will defiantly use there company again if needed if the future.

Making Sure it was right. Our H2O heater was making a trerrible nosie. Called Benicia, appointment was scheduled and Macelo arrived promptly within the reasonable 2 hour time window. Macelo spent some time with the system to see if it could be repaired, ultimately prepairing a fair and complete quote on a new system. Although there was an issue getting the right model number, many went the extra yard that the correct model was installed properly by Doug who was fantastic.

I had not only a garbage disposal not working but I had a bad valve in my garage that wasn't allowing water to flow at all. I received a next day appointment with a window from 1 to 3 Which made it more convenient for me. They even called to give me a heads up that they were about 10 minutes away so I could make sure I was home. The plumber arrived following all Covid social distancing protocols including mask gloves prior coming in my home.

He was very efficient and was able to fix all of the problems in a very short amount of time couldn't be more happy with the customer service I received not only on the phone but in person as well. Will definitely refer them and use them for all of my other plumbing needs

I've been using Benicia plumbing on all my rental properties for the last decade, more recently, I had a toilet that was leaking and they found the problem with the roots growing and gave me a cost-effective solution. They have always been extremely professional prompt and all their work has been outstanding. They are very consistent, And all their employees are professional and very knowledgeable.

I live in an apartment complex that was recently serviced. Our laundry drain failed and a representative came to fix the issue. The gentleman was wildly unprofessional. He had some bodily odor that was so bad, we needed to open all the windows. Before he left, he asked to use our private restroom and we allowed that. He left and when we went in, he had urinated all over the toilet seat and the floor.

It was absolutely disgusting. It looked as though he had not lifted the toilet seat before he began urinating. Aside from the gross hygiene, he did determine the issue. While working, he found a rat in the wall(we overheard him telling one of the maintenance guys) but he never mentioned anything to us, the tenants. We do not know if the rat was dead or if he had disposed of the rodent. 3 stars because he was able to find the issue, but the lack of professionalism was astounding and we took away 2 stars, but we really should have taken away 3.

Really disappointed in Benicia Plumbing. Tried to schedule a hot water heater repair and they told me I lived outside their repair area. Benicia is about 25 minutes from Vacaville. They also said that it would cost an additional 185 for the recall repair on the heater. I find this most disturbing in that a couple of their plumbers live in Vacaville and drive the company van back and forth to work everyday.

I knew the original owners back in the day and would have expected more from this company. All the negative plumber stereotypes in one company. Can't buy good customer service.

I had a new hot water heater installed and as soon as I would turn on the hot water; there was a "horn blowing noise". I called them, Michael came over was very attentive, polite, responsive and professional. He fixed the problem and my hot water heater works like a "charm". Thanks Mike!

We needed a new toilet and installation. Decided to see what Benicia Plumbing. They were professional and asked about our needs then sent pictures and specifics about toilets and also quotes with and without labor. We decided a couple days later and had an appointment quickly. That day they arrived on time they were clean professional and practice safety with reference to Covid 19. The did a terrific job and called the next day to make sure we were happy

This company charged me to look at a problem, then didn't call me back for 5 days. My water was leaking but they thought it would be okay to not call me back after I called them multiple times. I had to use another company- but they still cashed my check to "look" at the problem. Never even gave me an estimate. There are plenty of companies that will give you an estimate without charging you.

Super happy! We just moved into our house and needed the washer hookup completely replace and a new toilet. Both jobs were done so well! I'm so happy. Will definitely be using Benicia plumbing for any future jobs! Highly recommend!

My water heater was having a problem with the pilot light. Called Whirpool and was recommended to contact Benicia Plumbing Inc., which I'm glad I did. Their technician (Jared Brown) showed as up as scheduled and was professional and friendly and got the job done rather quickly. Thank you Jared!

I would highly recommend Benicia Plumbing. We lost precious time trying to get plumbing help from Home Guard insurance (they found any possible excuse not to help, zero stars for them!) and we fell into the wrong hands of a different plumbing company that made us believe we would need to go into major works to get the system up and running again. A friend recommended Benicia Plumbing and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.

The person coming to help us was Doug Webber. He was very methodical and detail oriented while trying to diagnose the problem. He was able to troubleshoot after testing different ways and the system is now up and running. My mom who is 60+ years old had a pipe leak behind the wall. Salvador Villalpando showd up, the guy made a relatively small cut and once he saw it was galvanized pipe he stated that all the pipes in the house should be removed. He quoted her $7,600 to remove the pipes and replace them with copper pipes. It was a lot of money so she decided to hold off and price shop.

Other plumbers showed up and were shocked how bad the work was and that he charged us 185. The other plumber stated Benicia Plumbing is known for price gauging and doing poor quality work. After I heard this I called Benicia Pluming and asked for Salvador to give me a call. The guy was very rude and hung up the phone on me. I would recommend you get your pluming work done by someone else!

Great service from Benicia Plumbing from start to finish. Doug came out on an emergency call Dec 26th regarding an outside water leak from our main pipe. He assessed the problem and told us exactly what needed to be done. Scheduled it the next day and one other day. Doug is very efficient, reliable, and knowledgeable in what he does. Lemon Tree Neighborhood in Vacaville. Has been left with water turn offs more than 3 times in the last 12 months. The most recent being November 12 for a time that will amount to almost 12 hours. Hundreds of Senior Citizens are being affected. Who is going to compensate these residents who are all on limited income and/or retirement and yet have no idea when the water will be turned back on.

Had a hot water heater warranty claim under A.O. Smith. They referred me to their authorized partner Benicia Plumbing. I connected with the very pleasant Serena(I hope I am spelling correctly) on Friday. She had Jared here Monday to deal with the issue. Jared found the issue, did not have the part, called to the office to make sure they had a few in stock. Drove back to the office to grab the part and installed it same day. My family appreciates it. We will be back for future issues.

Brandon was patient and persistent in tracking down a hard-to-find leak in hidden ceiling pipe in the upstairs apartment. Once he found it, he had it repaired it quickly and tested to make sure the fix was good. It helped to have a cool head and a steady hand working to resolve a bad situation.

Just had work completed. They were wonderful as usual. Doug gave me an estimate and took his time to explain what needed to be done and why. I decided to move forward. Everything was completed just as promised.

I live across the bridge in Martinez and call Benicia Plumbing for all my plumbing needs. Recently we had an issue with tree roots obstructing our main sewer line. I called Benicia Plumbing the morning we started experiencing issues and they came out and had the obstruction clear within a few hours. This company saves you time, money, and a lot of hassle.
