Keith Lawson Company was founded in 1980 by Keith Sr. as a plumbing service company. It started as a small operation with the idea that "One Man and a Truck" could provide quality and dependable service at an affordable price. It grew into a substantial family business, as Keith Jr. joined the team and the company expanded to over 150 employees.

Company advertises "open 24 hours". This is false advertising and even if your a "Red Carpet" customer you will not be contacted. I have experienced A/C outage twice in three days. I called the after hours customer service several times each day. After some excruciating music for many minutes a recording came on line stating they were with another customer and to leave your name and contact number and they would call you back.

Never happened. Both days I had to wait until regular office hours to talk with someone. Fortunately I am not a Red Carpet customer because 2/3 cost of the privilege of being one would be wasted. Suggest management investigate and correct.

Called for an a/c quote for a larger commercial job. Was told someone would call to schedule a consult to bid. No one ever did.

Keith Lawson Company is hands-down the most dishonest, self-serving creep show of a business that I've ever encountered. Not only did their service tech sell me a $1300 part that I didn't need for what turned out to be a dead AC unit (thank goodness for second opinions), but then KLC wouldn't even return my phone calls to rectify the issue. Ultimately, I had to eat the cost of the part AND pay for a whole new unit to cool my home. in July. Deal with Keith Lawson Company at your own peril. and watch your pocketbook if you do.

We had a toilet clog up and and a sink malfunction so we called Keith Lawson. They sent out a technician by the name of Jacob & the whole process was just seamless. Jacob was professional & friendly and explained everything while he was fixing it. Most definitely will be calling Keith Lawson for any future problem. I'm glad to know they hire people like Jacob that take pride in there work.

Waiting 5.5 hours for scheduled maintenance. Appointment made 2 weeks prior. No phone call, no explanation. Poor business practices. This is NOT how to treat your customers.

I had active leak under kitchen sink. Jacob arrived within an hour and was polite and professional. I have only lived in this house for a week and he was kind enough to explain how some of the plumbing worked and answered all my questions. Very good experience. Price was as I expected. Quite frankly, I would have expected much better from a business identified as "Best in Tallahassee". Keith Lawson Services dispatched an estimator on 11/13/2020 for a possible job consisting of replacement of two heat pumps and new duct work. Before departing from our meeting, the estimator confirmed my e-mail address and assured me that I'd get his written estimate soon.

To date, 24 days and THREE phone calls later (11/20, 11/24 & 12/4), I still don't have an estimate. The service manager has apparently been unavailable to take my last two phone calls and I've yet to receive an e-mail, text, or return phone call. My first attempt at using KLS since moving to Tallahassee has been a disappointing one to say the least.

Keith Lawson Co. took care of me like family. Simple as that. Adam O. is hands down the most friendly and knowledgeable technician I have ever come across and will be signing up for their yearly A/C maintenance. Adam was extremely professional and I found myself learning about the HVAC system as he was explaining how the mechanics worked. I had a 4 year old A/C unit start short cycling no less than 24 hours ago that had a Nest Learning Thermostat connected that was the culprit.

Being in FL and in 93 degree heat, not having the AC working properly was a big issue. They understood the urgency and came earlier than expected and switched out my Nest and tested everything. I'm back to normal all thanks to Adam and Keith Lawson Co.

Just had an urgent service call by Kevin when two of our AC units went out simultaneously! Kevin was courteous, smart, efficient and explained things well. Got things working quickly. Couldn't ask for a better service call.

5 stars for the service tech (John) who performed the service on my HVAC unit. He confirmed the blower module was bad and replaced the blower motor in the air handler in short order. He arrived at 12:10 pm and I received the invoice and the debit card receipt by email after completion at 1:20 pm. An hour and 10 minutes later! That was awesome! However, I"m not so generous with with the appointment process and their billing practices.

I was told when making the appointment there would be an $85 diagnosis fee, but if the service was performed there would be an hourly labor charge of $85.00 and the diagnosis fee would be waived. So when the invoice charge was $330.00 I called the office and was told their hourly labor charge was $165.00. She looked up the invoice and confirmed I was charged for 2 hours labor.

I asked her why the man I made the appointment with said their labor charge was $85.00 an hour and all I got was "that's not right". Where I come from you take people at their word, but then again. I'm not from Tallahassee. Oh, and do you think its fair to charge for another hour of labor.for 10 minutes work? Thanks John for the quality work.

Technician was prompt, professional and efficient. He was also able to answer my questions about my AC system and possible changes. I've always been pleased with Keith Lawson services. Joshua was able to come to do some plumbing work the same day I called. He was professional, courteous and even handled a little unexpected work with no problem.

I had a guy cone out to look and give me an estimate. He was very nice. But he never sent the email with the estimate. I called a week or so later the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. She they'd have him send over the estimate, never happened. I called a few weeks later and again, very friendly staff but they couldn't find any record of the guy coming out to even see the place. So now I'm waiting for a call back.

The service technician diagnosed the problem and completed the work prior to providing an estimate and then charged $216 for about 10 minutes of work (cleaning the drain line.) When I brought up the issue about the price he said he would not leave my property until the bill was paid. When I called the office to express my concerns, the level of customer service I received was somewhere between McDonalds and Comcast. Use this company at your own risk.

Part 2) Keith, I am disappointed that you wouldn't take my call. SO, here is my follow-up to your response: 1) I did get a rate quote of $84.95 for the initial visit. That is the ONLY quote received. 2) The tech did not give an expected time required or $ estimate. 3) I have no work order, signed or otherwise. PLEASE provide me with a copy of such. 4) The second call was DIRECTLY related, it was a follow-up (when I had to call back to ask about it).

I suppose it was overlooked or not addressed, after being discussed as part of the initial reason for the call. 5) I will be glad to honor my responsibilities. Let's get them right first. Thanks. AT Part 1) BE VERY WARY ABOUT COSTS. A job expected to be a couple of hundred was billed at $654.95 in labor alone. No up front estimate. This was more than was paid for the original unit. I would have never agreed to such cost up front!

Jonathan arrived within the expected time frame, fixed the problem, and left in no time. He even cleaned up after himself! I would definitely use Keith Lawson again.

Keith Lawson's plumbing would not come out to help my emergency plumbing issue because my name is not on the house. I do no rent, rather my fiance's name is on the house. I cannot gat ahold of him because he is teaching a law review class at FAMU. He would need to call it in. So, even though I was willing to pay overtime rates and what ever else the plumber would of said I owed, I was refused service.

Great job on being a capitalist. I do own an apartment building that is in my name and if ever there was an emergency plumbing issue I would rather it flood than use you. Good thing there are other competitors.

We hired Keith Lawson to do our water heater and the AC repair. The tech came out and gave an estimate of for the gas water heater which we thought was high but he said it would take them 7-8 hours (since it was in a tight space and needed some rework). We thought the estimate was reasonable for the amount of work. However when the work was actually done, it took them 2 hours so they basically lied about how long it would take and still charged us the full amount.

Also they didnt remove the old water heater. Now, the AC tech comes out and says it will cost $400 to refill freon. He does not do any other kind of tune up or cleaning and charges us $85 for the visit. We hired another company and they did tune up and refill for the freon for $200. They also said if we just refill the freon from next time it would only cost us $120.

Talk about over charging customers and giving horrible estimates - Kieth Lawson & Co. has that part down to the science. Please, please beware and ask around before you go hire these people. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM! BEWARE!
