We are a family-owned business. Nick and Pacific Crest Plumbing have been serving Portland homeowners plumbing needs for over 30 years. Cleaner water throughout your entire home. Now when you or a family member takes a shower, bath, or washes the dishes will all have cleaner water touching their skin. Also, any of the contaminants like lead, rust and other harmful chemicals will be gone! Pipes don't typically break down overnight unless acted upon by an outside force, as they will slowly deteriorate over time.
As a general rule, a tank style water heater will last, on average, 8 to 12 years. If your water heater is pushing the 10-year mark, there's a good chance it's time to replace the unit. A water heater is essential for everyday tasks in your Portland Oregon home, like taking a shower and washing dishes.

We contacted Nick at Pacific Crest Plumbing because we wanted to replace our 20-year-old water heater before it failed. Nick was really great at providing information via text about the water heater replacement and several other plumbing questions I had asked. We were impressed that he clearly took time to research my questions and provide answers, including helpful links and diagrams.

We got three bids for the water heater replacement, and the other two were very similar to Nick's. But we knew we wanted to go with Nick, even if his bid had been higher than the others. He was excellent at communicating with us, and he always did what he said he would do - in the timeframe he said he would do it. He walked us through the process every step of the way and made us feel very relaxed and secure about our decisions. Nick was very courteous once he was at our home.

He was conscious of the possibility of tracking in mud, and he told us ahead of time when he would be shutting off the gas and water supplies. He was neat and tidy with his work area. He brought all the supplies he needed with him, and he cleaned up everything before he left. We really can't think of a way that the service could have been better. We will definitely call Nick and Pacific Crest again if we have other plumbing needs!

PCP was great and very helpful. They installed our water heater for house in Portland. No hassle, no pain. The price they gave us was firm. They just came 20 min late. But everything else was great. Service: Water heater installation

Nick is truly amazing. I called Pacific Crest Plumbing for help installing a new drain assembly in my pedestal sink. It seemed like a pretty straight forward job, but I was struggling to access the pipes behind the base of the pedestal sink. I thought I was going to have to remove the pedestal sink, which was more than I wanted to take on by myself.

When I called Pacific Crest, Nick let me know that he had retired but nonetheless asked me what I needed help with and told me that, because he loves plumbing, he'd be happy to answer any questions I have. This was exactly what I needed. This is the first time I've tried to do basic plumbing, so I'm learning as I go. I've been learning from YouTube videos and online reading. Nick explained the basics of my project and helped me troubleshoot some issues, while also giving his opinion on the cost range to hire a plumber and some plumber recommendations.

With the new info Nick gave me, I decided to give my project one more shot, and it worked! I got the drain installed and there doesn't appear to be leaks. Thank you, Nick! I'm beyond grateful for your help.

Second time I've used Nick to replace a hot water heater. It says a lot when you remember someone from over 10 years ago! I was so impressed with the quality of the water heater and his professional kind service that I knew I didn't want to go with anyone else when it was time to replace it again. I've always referred anyone I know to him over the years because he is the best plumber I've ever worked with.

This year we have a pandemic, fires causing massive smoke, and all kinds of crazy things in the world going on. In spite of all of this- even some of it affecting closures in supply houses, etc.- Nick was fantastic! He constantly went above and beyond to offer help and assistance during wild times. Clear communication, timely service, professional, clean, and he managed to move mountains to get me hot water this week. Thanks so much Nick! Customer for life here, I'd highly recommend this company in a heartbeat!

Nick responded to our unusual situation with confidence and professionalism that other plumbers lacked. His price was better, too! He was able to tackle our job in a short time frame and got the work done very quickly. His kindness and warm sense of humor made an unfortunate situation so much easier to tolerate. If you've got a plumbing need, Nick is definitely the guy you want working on your home.

I met Nick after another local outfit fixed the main shut off valve in my basement. The fix was needed after discovering that my water bill had unexpectedly jumped from previous usage and in the steps to determine if there was a leak inside or outside of the house. Because the main shut off was faulty that was the first needed step. The first plumber did indeed replace the main shut off inside the house for 550$.

Being a first time homeowner and not being a plumber by trade I assumed that the cost was industry standard. After the shut off was repaired the plumber confirmed that the meter was still spinning and that the mystery leak was outside, meaning that I would need a new water main at a cost of 5300$ of which they would deduct the 550$ we paid for the shut off to be replaced.

The price tag was way beyond what we could financially swallow with out a second opinion. Thats how I met Nick. He came out the same day to access and bid the water main replacement. 2775$ was the bid he gave and even apologized that it wasn't less given the short distance to the house but that there are minimums on equipment which I completely understood. Nick was very honest and upfront about what needed to be done.

I asked about a "re-plumb" of the entire house which was being very strongly pitched by the other two outfits that I took bids from. Nick asked, "why, is something broken or not working well?" In fact we don't have any notable water or plumbing needs or problems. That exchange demonstrated that Nick wasn't at my house to get my money, he was there to do an honest job and help me sort out the problem at hand. Nick did an incredible job with prep to protect the inside of my house and the clean up was as if he'd never been there.

On parting Nick even said I could text him plumbing pictures/questions in the future and he'd help triage the situation for me. That kind of service comes from values that we should all aspire too. Nick is a now a permanent in my contacts list as Nick the plumber and now if someone asks if I know a plumber I can enthusiastically say, "yeah, I know a guy."

This is the second time I've used Pacific Crest Plumbing to do work on my home built in the 1950's. My pipes started flooding my basement and with a 4 month old in the house I needed to get the job done quickly and done well. I was worried about having to wait a long time due to Covid 19, but as always, Nick was able to provide high quality work, at a great price and get here quickly (within 2 business days).

He provided advice on how to stop the leakage and not cause anymore problems before he got here. I definitely plan on calling them again, when it comes time to redoing the plumbing in my home.

One of the larger and highly rated plumbers told us that we had to replace our water main at a cost of close to $4,000. Nick came out to take a look and his experience told him that the way the water meter was moving wasn't consistent with a water main leak. He fixed a small leak in our shower which fully resolved the issue. We came close to spending $4,000 on the wrong repair and Nick saved us. Nice to see a great plumber taking the interests of his customers first. Thanks Nick!

Fast, professional and informative! Nick is really the best. I've used him three times on my rental property as well as here in my home. He is always very quick to respond, offers very clear options, and always explains the best way to do things. He is clear, articulate, and very easy to work with. He definitely takes the sting out of having to deal with plumbing issues! I plan to continue to use Pacific Crest for anything and everything that deals with water!

We recently had our gas water heater spring a leak late at night. We'd had Pacific Crest Plumbing work on a bathroom addition a few years prior and have had no issues with that work, so called them up first thing in the morning to see if they could help us quickly. Nick was able to stop at the house a couple hours later after earlier appointments, and after looking at the unit and confirming its death, we talked through options and he provided a quote and the possibility of an install of a new gas unit the following morning.

He kept us aware of his arrival time the morning of the install, and the work was cleanly done. The workmanship was good and we talked through the operation afterwards. I'd definitely recommend him for any plumbing work.

I had a clogged laundry drain in my basement. I like their web site and the office was friendly and helpful when I call. Nick the owner of Pacific Crest Plumbing came out on the same day and cleared the clog. No suprises and I was give an idea of what the service would cost upfront. I was happy with the service.

Found this plumbing company to be prompt, professional and efficient. They replaced our disposal and snaked our drain and we liked the price.
