Our kitchen sink was clogged. Harold came right in to get the work started. Needless to say, I was thrilled with how quick he was able to get the problem resolved. Harold was professional and very pleasant to speak with. The beset part, he cleaned up his work area prior to leaving. I appreciate that a lot. I would request Harold again! Thanks.

This company will not provide any estimate (of any kind) until sending out a plumber who charges at least $68 for the visit. They also claim that a permit needs to be acquired in parallel with a water heater replacement, or any job that involves gas lines. This is simply not how most other companies operate and so there's too much competition to recommend this one.

This was the second time I have used The Plumbing Doctor. Once again I am impressed with the experience. They will definitely be my "go to" plumbing company moving forward. Daniel was my guy for the second time. He and Jake made sure everything was done correctly and efficiently. I couldn't have asked for more! The plumber was able to diagnose our issue (a leak in a pipe in our ceiling) but that was where the positive feedback ends. When I booked the appointment, they said "we will give you a 20 minute heads up when he's heading over. If it's within business hours, we will waive the service fee. If it's after business hours, you will be charged the fee." But I don't actually get a say on when they're coming so how am I supposed to know if I'm paying the fee or not? Am I also just supposed to wait at home all day for him to show up? Finally, when the guy was here, he said it'd be anywhere from $150 to $250 to diagnose the issue, and once he found it he seemed to just arbitrarily decide that is was $250.

He said the fix of the issue would be $500. The next day, I had a different person come by who said it should have cost less than $100 for the diagnosis and would be $150 for the fix. I do not recommend the plumber Dr for these reasons.

We have used this company several times for various plumbing needs and they are the absolute best! They answer quickly, have fair prices, and always do excellent work. And if you are really looking for an expert plumber with tons of experience for a more complicated job, ask for Dr. Charlie by name!

Charlie arrived as agreed, inspected to find the source of the problem, and gave me options for repairs. He was courteous and tidy and helpful, even giving me a couple of do-it-yourself maintenance tips. Overall, a highly satisfactory experience with The Plumbing Doctor.

We had a plumbing emergency & your office responded with a sense of urgency for our situation. Our technician, Brandon, was beyond excellent. He was honest, personable, & a great communicator. He fixed the problem quickly & professionally. He advised us on other potential issues with our plumbing. We asked him to take a look at a faulty gasket (causing a leak) that another plumbing company had chosen to leave us with the day before, & he quickly fixed it as a courtesy to us. That is great customer service! The Plumbing Dr. is now our first choice in plumbing. We will recommend you!

We used The Plumbing Dr twice - once for our primary residence and once for our rental property. Both times the plumbers completed the job and exceeded our expectations. The cost was reasonable too! They came on time and took the time to listen. I would hire them again if needed. Kudos to Dr Charlie and budding Dr Jake for going above and beyond!

Daniel from The Plumbing Doctor came today and found and replaced a pipe in my kitchen. I have been putting this repair off for quite a while and worried about the potential cost. I was very happy with the work Daniel did today and the price was excellent. He did a great job of explaining everything and patiently answering my questions. I have used this company before. Initially selected this company because their initial consultation fee seemed reasonable. The two plumbers arrived timely and conducted an initial assessment of the two toilets I need to have repaired both experiences the same issue. Then came the big surprise. I was told it would cost nearly $800 to fix two water fill valves because they had to turn the water off at the street blah blah blah.

I was in the middle of a call so didn't have much time to process the cost. So agreed to fix only one of the two. The job took less than 30 minutes which really made me wonder if I actually overpaid for the work. Now here comes the kicker. I googled the fix then went to Lowes the following day and purchased a $15 water fill valve and fixed the second toilet myself in about 20 minutes and trust me when I say I'm no repairman, which is why I initially made the phone call.

I realize the repairman is under no obligation to do so but i would have felt much better about the experience if he had advised me that this was probably something i could have done myself. So yeah, i definitely feel like I over paid and will definitely NEVER use this particular company again. Even though it was an expensive lesson i now know how to do this work myself

I was pleasantly surprised to call and was able to get same-day service! Harold was the name of the plumber who came to our home and was very professional and polite. I also received a courtesy call about 15 minutes before he arrived (much appreciated). He discovered a new type of drain stopper in our home he hadn't encountered before. Yet, he found results on how to deal with it on-line and expertly got both our drains unplugged and flowing freely. As well, he completely cleaned up all around both sinks. I highly recommend this company for their experienced plumbers and getting the job done efficiently.

The Plumbing Dr. recently got us out of a potential jam by responding to our call on a Friday afternoon. We had guests coming over the following night, and we were starting to get a sewage back up in our utility sink. Two plumbers, Daniel and Cornelius, arrived within 45 minutes of our initial call, and worked quickly and efficiently, snaking out a basement line to get everything flowing again. I highly recommend The Plumbing Dr., based on their responsive and expert service.

Charlie and Marcel fixed and replaced a couple corroded, leaky valves that were beyond saving and also replaced my faucet and water pressure regulator. A few weeks later, Charlie and Jake came by to fix a different leaky valve. All three of them were friendly, helpful and great to talk to. Charlie in particular was passionate about teaching me why they were doing what they were doing and how to take care of things to better maintain my house, which was much appreciated. The plumbing doctor is now my go-to plumbing service.

Harold and Cornelius did a great job to renovate my kitchen under-counter lines to accommodate a new dishwasher. Once they had diagnosed the issues to resolve, Harold provided a number of options that would best fit my budget. They were very thorough and got the job done. Excellent work removing a defective kitchen faucet at my mom's home and replacing with a new one. Dr. Harold and Dr. Joe worked tirelessly to remove the old and heavily rusted faucet connection. They were professional and competent. They kept me informed during the whole process; gave me options for the new faucet (with no pressure) and were very friendly. Plus, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. This is the second time we have used the Plumbing Dr. If necessary, we will contact them for future plumbing needs.

First, the Plumbing Dr. responded quickly in the evening for an emergency, and put in a temporary fix. Then they evaluated the larger problem and returned to install a new water heater, replacing shoddy work that a previous plumber had done. The final product was a work of art -- who would say that about a water heater installation? It was done timely, professionally and at a reasonable fee for all they had done. Special thanks to Dr. Daniel, Dr. Juke and Dr. Marcelo, who were not only efficient but good humored.

These guys stand by their work! My toilet had the same issue three months later and they fixed it at no charge. These guys are speedy and courteous, basically my life plumbers!

We called to have a clogged kitchen sink fixed. Doctors Harold and Marcelo arrived the next morning, provided a detailed overview of possible service options, and recommended a plan of action. They were thorough and very professional, and got everything back to normal in a short amount of time.

Noticed a leak under our kitchen sink and scheduled an appointment with The Plumbing Dr. We've used them before and were happy with our service. Dr. Daniel came to the rescue, explaining how the trap should work, and why ours was failing. He worked quickly to replace the leaking section of the pipe with new parts (and fewer connections!). I appreciated learning about my plumbing as well as the speedy and professional work. Would recommend!

One of our pipes in our basement leading to an outside bib came loose at a connection. Dr. Brian came to our home, and he was knowledgeable, incredibly kind and considerate, made the appropriate check ups in and around the house, conducted the work, tested the work, and made us feel very comfortable that the pipe was fixed! It's always such a treat when a contractor comes with a smile on his/her face and is friendly while doing his/her work.

It felt like our neighbor friend was over helping out to fix a problem at our house - it was so natural. His explanations were clear, informative, and articulate. The service from Dr Esteban was fantastic : he was very knowledgeable about plumbing issues and told us every step of the way if there was going to be a change in cost so there were no surprises. He solved our clogged toilet by finding an issue that the condo building maintenance people couldn't figure out: toilet was installed incorrectly. All in all great service!

The plumbers, headed up by Charlie, showed up the same day I called and on time. They quickly got to work addressing the stoppage, and he and his assistant were very meticulous in their work and showing me the condition of the pipes and what was needed to prevent future problems. Definitely worth the money.

I bought my first apartment in May, and The Plumbing Dr has saved me twice! First, with toilet repairs, and the second time with my clogged kitchen sink flooding my floor. This company is super responsive, with excellent communication of repair options, and the best customer service! Both of my repairs have occurred during COVID. The tub faucet and fixtures in my master bathroom were original from construction (2008) and through time and normal wear & tear, the tub faucet had been consistently leaking. I found The Plumbing Dr on the world's most powerful tool (Google) and called to schedule a service appointment. The company representative I spoke with was courteous, professional and responsive.

A service call was scheduled for today (October16). The plumber (Mike) and his colleague (Cornelius) called me 15 minutes in advance (as promised) of their scheduled arrival time (12:00) and they arrived promptly on time. Mike explained the evaluation and repair process, so that my expectations were managed up front with full transparency, which I appreciated. Mike and Cornelius did a thorough inspection, determined a repair plan and clearly explained next steps and timelines.

I asked if, as long as they were there, it made sense to go ahead and replace all the washers on all the faucets (bathrooms, kitchen) and after carefully inspecting all of them, Mike advised that they were all in good working order and it would be an unnecessary expense (which I also appreciated). Mike and Cornelius provided additional guidance for proactive care of my pipes in the master bathroom, once the repairs were completed, as a cost-saving measure.

The service appointment was approximately 1.5 hours, start to finish. I found Mike to be very professional, highly competent and helpful. Cornelius was also very knowledgeable and helpful, as well. Of course, significant plumbing repairs are not cheap (oh the joys of home ownership!), but I believe the quality of the work and the service merits the cost, and the Plumbing Dr's rates and fees are competitive with other local plumbing companies. I highly recommend the Plumbing Dr! 5 stars!

If you need ANYTHING done that is plumbing related, look no further than the team at The Plumbing Doctor. Mike (our lead technician) and Charlie (who assisted Mike) did a phenomenal job diagnosing the problem quickly, giving us our options and then executing the plan we chose. Without being prompted, Mike noticed I had served in the military and proceeded to give me a 10% Veteran's Discount, which I didn't know they had and he volunteered. Mike and Charlie also took a look at the caulking on the tub in our guest bathroom and replaced it. Again, GREAT customer service and professionalism. UPDATE - Charlie came by our new house today to fix our drain and per the usual, we are blown away by the professionalism Charlie exhibited. Again.this is why we are customers for life.

Recently, we had a sewage backup affecting the basement. Based on the strong recommendation of a former neighbor, we called The Plumbing Dr in Falls Church. We were very satisfied with the quality work of Dr. Charlie. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and personable. He explained the process that was necessary to diagnose and fix the problem which he did in the amount of time he said it would take. This review is for Dr. William. Sunday during Labor Day weekend disaster struck my townhouse- my bathroom decided to flood my kitchen with black water. I was terribly upset as I had family in town visiting and didn't understand why water was flooding my cabinets. I called over a dozen plumbers in the DMV area and no one answered. I left messages and the Plumbing Dr was the only one to call me back.

They were timely and professional and a rep was sent to my home within three hours. Dr. William was friendly and very professional. He explained the options well and clearly to me. I understood what the process was and didn't pressure me or try to upsell me. He replaced the wax ring, screws, cleaned the area, and replaced my flapper. He also taught me about cast iron plumbing and explained the pros and cons.

I have already recommended the plumbing dr to two friends since then. The price was pretty steep but insurance should cover it I don't mind. Plus, it was a holiday weekend so I understand. I'm very grateful for their professionalism and promptness. Will contact for future plumbing needs. EDIT: had to knock off a star. I recommended this company to a friend who had plumbing problems last week and they never called her back. Damaged my credibility. Not very professional.
