I am so appreciative of the service that this company did for my 91 year old mother on a Sunday afternoon when her furnace stopped working in the dead of winter. I called their number, I spoke to a person, took my info and within minutes I had a person call me Back and asked me what the problem was and went to my moms house and repaired her furnace problem. I am so grateful for your service! Thanks to Luke, it is all repaired! I will definitely use your service from now on. Thanks again!

We have been a long time standing customer of theirs for many years. We have qiven this place alot of business and I mean alot. We had an issue with low hot water pressure in the kitchen sink so we called them and Jack came. He was at our house for about 5 min. Nothing was wrong with the faucet or the hot water. The hose was kinked underneath the sink.

A basket with cleaning supplies was pressing up against it. That was it. We were charged 160.00 for that visit. IM SORRY BUT THATS RIDICULOUS AND THATS NO WAY TO TREAT A LONG TIME CUSTOMER. UNBELIEVEABLE!. ARE YOU THAT GREEDY? And if you read other reviews about this business notice how the owner only makes comments to the customers who leave great reviews but says nothing to any of the unhappy customers that have left poor reviews. What a shame!

I wish I would have looked at reviews before trying to hire this company. I called a month and a half before I needed the work done and scheduled service, they then proceeded to not only disregard the schedule and not show up but they also do not call to let me know that they are not going to be doing the service on the day that was scheduled. The following week I called to ask why there was a no-show no call giving them the benefit of the doubt and they reschedule me for another three weeks out even though it was their mistake the first time.

At this point it's been over two months and I received another call saying that their mistaken and once again and they can no longer provide any of the service and will not be coming out during their schedule appointment. I now have a kitchen install that is on hold because I have to find another company last minute who can complete the work. this company was unprofessional and I would not recommend them for any service.

If I could pick zero stars I would! My washing machine was backed up and water was leaking from the drain. the plumber came to my home- messed around with the washing machine- told me he made a fix, but if it happens again he'll need to get into the pipes behind the wall of the washer. He left charging me $290. I started a wash after he left and the leak was even worse.

I called the office immediately and spoke w A woman in the office who made up excuses as to why the operation mgr wasn't in since he was the only one to speak with re: the crappy work. I never heard back. I called back this morning and was again blown off by The same office girl as on Friday early afternoon. 4 hours later I called back and spoke w another operator. An hour later a furious operation mgr- called back, refused to honor their 30 day warranty on work and refused to reimburse me- sharing that his guy said it was fixed and I'm being dishonest.

I filed a dispute w my cc company. I found another plumber- Zoom plumbing- their tech worked for over an hour snd fixed the problem- never needing to go into the pipes in the wall. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY! The operation mgr asked for the paperwork from Zoom to "prove to him that his employee did an unacceptable job" and that "he'd talk with me then", but said nothing about reimbursing or honoring their warranty.

Today I shared the invoice from Zoom and Waltz continues to refuse to honor their warranty or reimbursement for their poor job and abrasive employees. He shared his email, but shared a false email for his supervisor- they stink!

Called to have a leaking water shut-off valve replaced on a toilet. They came within a few hours to address the problem. It was pricy but you get their price information up front so you know before the bill comes. I was glad to pay it for quick and competent service. I would use them again. We had a valve on the toilet that went bad and was constantly running. We called our landlord who sent out a super nice fella the next afternoon. He calked and showed up within a 20 minute window of the expected time. He worked cleanly, quickly, and took the time to explain what was going on. He was professional as well as personable. I would give a higher rating, but the woman who called us from the company to tell us of the appointment was just plain rude. No matter-she was not the one who fixed the problem. All in all, we are happy with the result.

Very bad experience with this company. They charged $150 for a 25 minute visit to evaluate my hot water heater. Then, they never returned with a plan for getting the work done. When I called to complain, they basically told me that they were right and I was wrong. I'll never call them when I need a plumber. Their interpretation of customer service is outdated.

We had a toilet that wouldn't stop leaking, and the turn off valve would not engage. Jay and Nick arrived quickly. While one worked on making necessary repairs in the bathroom, the other helped to minimize damage on the main floor. Both were respectful, professional and efficient. Highly recommend! I had two big jobs, 1 remove cast iron bath tub and replace with a tiled shower stall and remove 2 replace old oil burner cast iron pipes and terribly inefficient radiators They showed up when they said they would every day of the two week project or let me know when someone could not come, were mindful of protecting my property, did an amazing job on both projects and the heat specialist is going to come back when it gets cold to test that the new heating system works properly as part of the cost of the project The women who answer the phone were professional, personable, very helpful, and never were impatient ( I called a lot as this was my first large house project ever) I have used Waltz for fixing my gas fireplace- (a wonderful kind man, ) to take out and then put back gas service when I had a new gas dryer installed.

And some years ago they dug up and fixed the water line from my house to the street. And even gave me a video so the city would know my line was good (city was redoing water infrastructure in my street that summer I have used Waltz for large and small jobs over the years and have never been disappointed with the work or the behavior of any person I have met.

We had a leak in a basement wall and called the emergency number over the weekend. A plumber (Jack) came and mitigated the problem until Monday where a Carpenter (Greg) and plumber (Jay) came and cut a wall to find and fix the leak. Everything looks great and was fixed quickly. Everyone from dispatch to the skilled labor were excellent and effective. I rarely leave reviews anywhere - But this team deserved 5 stars. THANK YOU!

I'm so disappointed! We discovered a fuel leak from our boiler that they normally service. The technician arrived, confirmed that we had a fuel leak but could not fix it as he didn't have the parts needed. He promised to go back to the shop, look up the prices and call us. Once we agreed to the cost he would order the parts needed and call when they came in to install them.

He never called. Two weeks later, we have left multiple messages with the office and are promised a call back, but have heard nothing! We still have fuel oil leaking in a bowl under our boiler and onto the floor! I'm so angry! It's time to find another company to service our heating and plumbing needs. We paid $150 for a technician to agree with us and then leave.

They can't even return our calls! Such poor customer service! P.S. I was forced to give them a 1 star rating in order to submit the review. Honestly, I would give them zero stars!

We have a potentially unsafe situation with our plumbing at home and they would not even come out to do a review, or give an estimate. Very frustrating. Would not recommend.

Terrible customer service! We paid big money to have furnace cleaned but was left with a leaky part that leaked oil everywhere! When we called back they refused to come over and inspect the situation! We had to hire someone else to repair and replace! Never again!

Worst plumber ever, Called to install bathtub fixtures and fix tub drain stopper. Plumber had no idea what a cable drain was! He just wiggled around the control knob and had no idea how it engaged. I guessed the knob was the control and I'm not a plumber! I asked him to check the fixtures I bought before going to store for a part. He couldn't be bothered to do that - surprise!

What could have been rectified in a parts trip ignored so I got nothing installed except basic shower head. I went to parts store after he left and found parts and pictures explaining what I needed. I now know more than the plumber. Grossly overcharged for simple work. Wasted my Saturday. I would never let this company tackle the more complicated leak under kitchen sink. Absolutely awful waste of my time and money.

***WARNING***WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Never in my life have a dealt with such a joke of a company. They charged Me $300 for a drip in my water heater, whicH didn't actuually fix it. I called back and they said I would have to pay the guy to come back to try again! What a joke. I paid 300$ for the first visit and 49$ for him to come back out and Check again. after all that they wouldn't return my calls or schedule to fix it! I had to seek out a new plumber. I WOULD CALL ANYONE ELSE!

Be aware of the sleazy practices of this plumbing company. I had sewer blockage which was video'd. The technician did not inform me that it wasn't being recorded so I spend 250 dollars on a video without having it recorded and then they supposedly cleaned the sewer line. This cost me a total of $550 for under 2 hours of work. When I called the next day to get a copy of the video, they told me they didn't record it and it would cost me another $200 to get a recorded copy. This company is a rip off and should be avoided at all costs.

I was referred to this company by a contractor Id previously used. My heater wouldn't start after getting new oil so I called. They told me it would be 24-48 hours before they could get to me as "you aren't the only one without heat." 48 hours later they hadn't come and when I asked the secretary where I was on the list was told they would get to me when they could.

I finally called other companies after day 3 without heat. At least other companies that didn't have time to get to me gave me contact info of other companies that they said would do work well and quickly. Wouldn't call these guys. They missed out on other services I need done. All it takes is honest instead of leading people on. Finally got heat on day 5

Let me preface this by saying I have worked in mechanical contracting in Portland, ME and know the ins and outs of this business. I called up Waltz looking for help with a project I was working on. I needed to connect 4 large (1-1/4") Pex water lines to copper pipe which requires a specialized tool. I knew exactly what the tool was and I had all of the fittings necessary already.

All I needed was one of their technicians to come to my house and use the tool 4 times in order to make my connections. I knew full well I was going to be charged the labor rate of $95/hr and travel time to and from their shop. That was fine with me. I clarified the use of the specific tool during multiple phone calls and was aware that any materials used would be charged (I knew there would not be).

The technicians come to do the work, did a nice job. Then I get the bill. Labor and $125 for the tool rental. Tool rental. If I get a contractor to build me a deck, he doesn't itemize me a bill for his saw! It's Time & Materials we had already decided on, and your tools are part of your overhead. I argued with the Operations Manager for 15 minutes while his employees sat there idle.

He "cut me a deal" by chopping that charge in half. I will never work with Waltz again and will make sure my network knows that. Be careful of the bait and switch with these scam artists! I have a high tolerance for bad service and never written a bad review in my life. Congratulations, you're the first. I hope $62.50 was worth it.

This is a very good company but I feel like the cost can be a bit higher than other options. That being said I always feel like you also get what you pay for, which is top notch service. My ceiling had a leak and they were quick to arrive, find the problem and get it fixed. Their man was professional and clean, which I appreciated. I would recommend them for any plumbing emergency.

Our heater went out during a snowstorm and 5 degree temps. One call and we were told a service tech would be there within 3 hours. OK- Lit a fire and hunkered down, for 20 minutes. It was that quick and he was at the door and on the job. It was a quick fix ( a blocked vent from a neighbor blowing snow ) and problem solved. Fast, courteous and efficient. Great service.

I called richard p waltz plumbing for a shall we say, sewage crisis in my basement. the first company i called completely stood me up for a 7:30am appointment, the second company said they were booked solid for 3 days, and the dispatcher at richard p waltz was helpful, friendly, and i had a call back from the plumber when he was on his way 5 minutes later. jay [the plumber] showed up, listened to the problem without belittling me for being female, and immediately got to work. he opened the house trap at the very edge of my basement foundation, diagnosed what was likely the problem, and flushed the trap with a decent amount of water pressure. he then went to the beginning of the line [which my friend had already spent 4+ hours snaking the day before] and flushed the line from there. a disgusting amount of sludge burbled out, which he said would have likely backed up again if it hadnt been cleared out. he was very apologetic for having to charge for travel time [portland to sopo] but it came to a very reasonable $160 total. i would definitely call them the next time [fingers crossed i won't have to] i have a plumbing problem, and recommend them to anyone in the area

Let's start with how our heat wasn't broken until he "troubleshot" and fried the board. A part had to be ordered, and came in, but the tech missed the appt, leaving us hanging for hours waiting on his call, and was willing to still come for the after hours rate of $140+/hr! It burns me that basically each visit was charged an hour travel time at $88 per hr, and I felt the guy was milking the time, found him browsing on his phone, could hear personal phone conversations, and just how long should it take to write up the "paperwork"? Look elsewhere is my recommendation!

Maybe these guys are good for large jobs, but for small jobs they are just not worth it. I had them come to look at a leak under my sink that was working its way down to the apartment below. They charged $88 an hour which is a bit much, but they also charge $88 an hour for travel. Their office is in Portland, I live in Portland, but I got charged $44 for 'travel.' So it was $132 to be told it was probably just ice melting (even though there was mystery moisture under the sink). I'm not saying they're terrible, but I had a bad experience, so consider yourself warned.
