The Nivisons began their business with an understanding of their customers needs. In 1947, many homes in rural North Carolina were without modern conveniences. Few homes in these areas had heat except fireplaces and many were without indoor plumbing and bathroom facilities. Rural Plumbing and Heating began servicing these communities in the spring of 1947.
