If you are working on plumbing, either as a professional or just someone fixing their house make sure you drop a pin here. My house is, unfortunately, the definition of "non-standard" and as such while I appreciate the prices at Lowe's the hassle of going back and forth when the parts aren't quite the right ones or they don't have the specific kind I need simply isn't worth a couple of dollars in savings.
In my three trips to Pyramid (separate issues), however, not only have they had the unique part I need but they have been insanely helpful and helping me diagnose the problem and figure out how to fix it. Prices are a little higher then you'll find at a big box store but well worth every penny for the actual help you get.

One of the few shops whose staff knows what they're selling. Jeannine (sp?), the front lady in their showroom is smart, skilled, and knowledgeable. What an upgrade from online shopping! You call them, someone answers, and they help you. Too bad these are things in decline. I would gladly give them my custom in the future.

They had a chrome shower arm that both lowes and home depot did not. Sometimes you cant wait a week for it to come in Pyramid had it on hand. That was a save for me.

After calling 10 different places around KC looking for a discontinued part, Jesse went the extra mile and helped me find it the same day! Thanks Jesse!
